00:00:00 --> 00:00:03 And welcome to a new episode of the Digital Coffee
00:00:03 --> 00:00:06 Gaming Brew, and I'm your host, Brett Deister.
00:00:06 --> 00:00:09 If you could please just subscribe to this podcast
00:00:09 --> 00:00:10 on all your favorite podcasting apps, it really
00:00:10 --> 00:00:13 does help. But anyways, this week I'm going to
00:00:13 --> 00:00:16 be talking about a little bit about the ridiculous
00:00:16 --> 00:00:19 view between Elon Musk and Asmogold because apparently
00:00:19 --> 00:00:23 we need to fight about how many hours you play
00:00:23 --> 00:00:26 a game because that's the most important thing
00:00:26 --> 00:00:31 in 2025. Also, NVIDIA and AMD have an excellent
00:00:31 --> 00:00:35 year as GPU shipments have gone up. Manor Lord's
00:00:35 --> 00:00:42 new update AMD's Radeon RX 970 XT in the remember
00:00:42 --> 00:00:44 prices and everything since it's not coming out
00:00:44 --> 00:00:52 until maybe next week the 23rd I think is supposedly
00:00:52 --> 00:00:54 supposed to be that but we're not really even
00:00:54 --> 00:00:58 quite sure about that one but we do know that
00:00:58 --> 00:01:03 Nvidia's 55090 and 5080 is coming out the 30th
00:01:03 --> 00:01:08 of this month. And also how AMD sees Intel's
00:01:08 --> 00:01:11 Aero Lake and why to them it's a horrible product
00:01:11 --> 00:01:17 compared to the Ryzen 7 9800X 3D shortages because
00:01:17 --> 00:01:20 they blame them in a way. And then also what
00:01:20 --> 00:01:22 I'm going to say is the more hopeful thing and
00:01:22 --> 00:01:25 my main thing is about how Game developers can
00:01:25 --> 00:01:28 start 2025 off correctly with how to make their
00:01:28 --> 00:01:32 games to their customer. I know it's a weird
00:01:32 --> 00:01:37 thing to do. Anyways, let's get on with the show.
00:01:50 --> 00:01:56 That's good. Alright, so the most ridiculous
00:01:56 --> 00:02:01 thing in 2025 so far is Elon Musk and Asmogold
00:02:01 --> 00:02:04 going after each other, Asmogold claiming that
00:02:04 --> 00:02:09 Elon didn't really play Path of Exile 2 and has
00:02:09 --> 00:02:11 just bought the account and is just playing the
00:02:11 --> 00:02:16 high level gameplay and Elon saying I'm a top
00:02:16 --> 00:02:20 Diablo 4 player and then releasing the DMs and
00:02:20 --> 00:02:23 then just calling him names. It's all pretty
00:02:23 --> 00:02:26 stupid. I'm just going to say it bluntly. It's
00:02:26 --> 00:02:28 all pretty stupid. Both are wrong in their own
00:02:28 --> 00:02:31 separate ways. Asmogold, who the hell cares if
00:02:31 --> 00:02:33 he bought his account or not? Dude, he makes
00:02:33 --> 00:02:37 fricking rockets and electric cars that people
00:02:37 --> 00:02:40 drive and he's going to be doing dough. I don't
00:02:40 --> 00:02:42 really care if he bought his game or not. Who
00:02:42 --> 00:02:45 the hell cares if he bought it or not? Is it
00:02:45 --> 00:02:47 really that biggest, big controversy that he
00:02:47 --> 00:02:52 does or doesn't? And Elon, seriously, who cares
00:02:52 --> 00:02:54 if you bought your account or not? You're making
00:02:54 --> 00:02:59 rockets and electric cars and you're running
00:02:59 --> 00:03:04 X. So who cares? Is this really the hill you
00:03:04 --> 00:03:08 want to die on? As my goal, is this really the
00:03:08 --> 00:03:12 hill you want to die on out of everything? It's
00:03:12 --> 00:03:17 stupid. Who cares? Y 'all can just go, okay,
00:03:17 --> 00:03:20 he bought it. Who cares? I'll move on to. The
00:03:20 --> 00:03:23 bigger things about gaming, like why Western
00:03:23 --> 00:03:26 developers can't actually make games for gamers.
00:03:26 --> 00:03:29 That's our biggest thing, not this. This is dumb.
00:03:32 --> 00:03:36 Anyways, moving on to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
00:03:36 --> 00:03:39 is verified or officially verified on the Steam
00:03:39 --> 00:03:41 Deck. So you can actually play the game on the
00:03:41 --> 00:03:43 Steam Deck, which is a really good, great thing
00:03:43 --> 00:03:48 because let's be honest. Steam Deck has changed
00:03:48 --> 00:03:51 the PC gaming world. Before that, no one was
00:03:51 --> 00:03:54 really trying to make handheld PC devices, PC
00:03:54 --> 00:03:56 gaming devices, and now everybody's trying to
00:03:56 --> 00:04:00 make it after them. And it's great that Steam
00:04:00 --> 00:04:03 is actually looking ahead towards the future.
00:04:05 --> 00:04:09 And I can't fault them for doing great things,
00:04:09 --> 00:04:12 especially with now releasing their Steam OS
00:04:12 --> 00:04:16 and basically taking a bite out of Windows because
00:04:16 --> 00:04:18 Windows has been top dog in the gaming scene
00:04:18 --> 00:04:22 for forever. Mac lost out because they were just
00:04:22 --> 00:04:24 weren't really interested in an open ecosystem.
00:04:25 --> 00:04:29 So I'm all for this, makes Linux look a lot better.
00:04:29 --> 00:04:32 And maybe people write more programs, softwares
00:04:32 --> 00:04:35 and everything for Linux. So I'm all for it.
00:04:36 --> 00:04:40 I think this is a great thing. And so more power
00:04:40 --> 00:04:44 to you. All right moving on to Nvidia and AMD
00:04:44 --> 00:04:46 and it looks like it's been an excellent year
00:04:46 --> 00:04:51 for them because GPU shipments has hit over 251
00:04:51 --> 00:04:58 million units that's quite a lot of units being
00:04:58 --> 00:05:03 sold and it's no wonder because Nvidia makes
00:05:03 --> 00:05:05 some of the best GPUs in the market. I think
00:05:05 --> 00:05:08 Intel is actually doing a pretty good job of
00:05:08 --> 00:05:11 trying to match performance for price. I think
00:05:11 --> 00:05:14 AMD is trying to do that now. We'll see with
00:05:14 --> 00:05:17 the 9070 XT or whatever else they're going to
00:05:17 --> 00:05:21 come out with. But with that and with the CPUs
00:05:21 --> 00:05:26 from AMD with the APU, it's just looking like
00:05:26 --> 00:05:29 a bright future for that. I'm hoping to see the
00:05:29 --> 00:05:31 card sizes go down when they're going to be heavily
00:05:31 --> 00:05:37 reliant more. AI type uses with DLSS4 and everything,
00:05:37 --> 00:05:39 but just the shipments and everything just looks
00:05:39 --> 00:05:45 great. And since TSMC has now a foundry in Arizona,
00:05:45 --> 00:05:47 it looks like it's working. We should be seeing
00:05:47 --> 00:05:50 a lot better shipments and a lot faster shipments
00:05:50 --> 00:05:54 into the U .S. instead of Taiwan, since Taiwan
00:05:54 --> 00:05:57 and China aren't really besties right now. But
00:05:57 --> 00:06:00 it looks like we're going to be... Probably seeing
00:06:00 --> 00:06:03 a really healthy market in the GPUs, as long
00:06:03 --> 00:06:06 as Nvidia and AMD and Intel can make the price
00:06:06 --> 00:06:09 point good enough for gamers to be like, all
00:06:09 --> 00:06:14 right, I'll upgrade. Nvidia did a great job of
00:06:14 --> 00:06:17 not making it too expensive. Actually the 5080
00:06:17 --> 00:06:21 is cheaper than the 4080, but we'll see if it's
00:06:21 --> 00:06:23 actually a really good boost. I've been seeing
00:06:23 --> 00:06:26 some murmurs that it's not as good of a boost
00:06:26 --> 00:06:30 from the 3 series of the 4 series as
00:06:30 --> 00:06:36 the 4 series of the 5 series. But we'll
00:06:36 --> 00:06:40 see, we'll see what actual official ones are,
00:06:40 --> 00:06:45 but I'm not, I'm not hopeful that it's going
00:06:45 --> 00:06:48 to be as great of a leap from the 3 to the
00:06:48 --> 00:06:52 4 series as it was now. But I do think that
00:06:52 --> 00:06:59 with DLSS4 and with the more guessing or AI computing
00:06:59 --> 00:07:03 more frames. You're not going to have to have
00:07:03 --> 00:07:05 a beefy card to play really great games at a
00:07:05 --> 00:07:08 really good, great price point. So that's what
00:07:08 --> 00:07:10 we're going to be looking for the future now
00:07:10 --> 00:07:13 is that AI does have its uses and this is one
00:07:13 --> 00:07:18 of them that could actually help. All right,
00:07:18 --> 00:07:20 the fourth major update of Manor Lords. If you
00:07:20 --> 00:07:23 don't know, it's like the spiritual... successor
00:07:23 --> 00:07:25 of Lord of the realms, which is way back in the
00:07:25 --> 00:07:28 nineties. I played the second one way, way long
00:07:28 --> 00:07:31 ago, forgot about it now. Now they're adding
00:07:31 --> 00:07:34 like a new map. They're adding roads and well,
00:07:34 --> 00:07:36 bridges. So you build a road. You can build a
00:07:36 --> 00:07:38 bridge because there is a new map that basically
00:07:38 --> 00:07:42 has waterways. And so you kind of have to have.
00:07:42 --> 00:07:45 Bridges to get across the map, but you have that.
00:07:45 --> 00:07:48 You also have experimental changes as well. This
00:07:48 --> 00:07:50 is just a fun game. If you kind of like the medieval.
00:07:51 --> 00:07:54 side of it but you want a different type of strategy
00:07:54 --> 00:07:57 game than age of the empires or civilization
00:07:57 --> 00:08:00 because it's still a real -time strategy game
00:08:00 --> 00:08:03 but it's different from age of the empires like
00:08:03 --> 00:08:08 the ingenuity of it as it being a little bit
00:08:08 --> 00:08:12 more hardcore so if you haven't played you can
00:08:12 --> 00:08:16 build houses or burgesses and then you can actually
00:08:16 --> 00:08:22 grow things if you need to through either chickens
00:08:22 --> 00:08:25 or vegetables or something like that. So it is
00:08:25 --> 00:08:30 an interesting way of doing things. I'm still
00:08:30 --> 00:08:33 trying to figure it out to really optimize play
00:08:33 --> 00:08:36 style, but it's interesting to see like just
00:08:36 --> 00:08:38 to play a little bit and just have fun and not
00:08:38 --> 00:08:40 actually have to worry if I'm actually good at
00:08:40 --> 00:08:45 this game or not. All right, moving on to AMD.
00:08:46 --> 00:08:51 Our Radeon RX 970 XT looks like it'll be around
00:08:51 --> 00:08:56 the same price as the 5070. So like 500 to 550
00:08:56 --> 00:09:00 area. Not really quite sure. It's supposed to
00:09:00 --> 00:09:05 be better than the 4080 Super, but that doesn't
00:09:05 --> 00:09:07 give me a lot of hope because I'm like, I don't
00:09:07 --> 00:09:10 care about this generation of GPUs. I want to
00:09:10 --> 00:09:13 know how well you'll do with the one coming up.
00:09:13 --> 00:09:17 because that is the deal breaker of which one
00:09:17 --> 00:09:19 am I going to get? Am I going to get AMD or am
00:09:19 --> 00:09:23 I going to get Nvidia? And if you cannot keep
00:09:23 --> 00:09:27 pace with even the 5070 right now, that is a
00:09:27 --> 00:09:31 problem. I know AMD basically gave up on the
00:09:31 --> 00:09:36 high end market is basically leaving it to Nvidia
00:09:36 --> 00:09:40 to dominate and continue to dominate until somebody
00:09:40 --> 00:09:44 else figures out how to actually Don't allow
00:09:44 --> 00:09:49 AMD Nvidia to dominate, but I'm hoping it will
00:09:49 --> 00:09:55 keep pace with the 5070 and maybe trade blows
00:09:55 --> 00:09:58 with the 5080. If they can do that, then they
00:09:58 --> 00:10:03 have a, and it's, it's 500 below the 5080. They
00:10:03 --> 00:10:06 may have a really great product on it. If they
00:10:06 --> 00:10:09 can't and is struggling to keep pace with the
00:10:09 --> 00:10:14 5070, then they have an issue. And they'll probably
00:10:14 --> 00:10:17 have to figure it out. But like I said, we will
00:10:17 --> 00:10:20 see once they officially announced everything,
00:10:22 --> 00:10:25 which. Rumor has it supposed to be the 22nd of
00:10:25 --> 00:10:27 this month and then the 23rd supposed to come
00:10:27 --> 00:10:29 out. Not really quite sure if that's actually
00:10:29 --> 00:10:32 the real timetable because they didn't announce
00:10:32 --> 00:10:34 anything at CES because they wanted to quote
00:10:34 --> 00:10:37 unquote have it spot on the limelight. But I
00:10:37 --> 00:10:39 think they're just trying to figure out what
00:10:39 --> 00:10:42 Nvidia was going to be doing. And they got their
00:10:42 --> 00:10:45 answer because NVIDIA doesn't care what AMD really
00:10:45 --> 00:10:47 does. To be honest with you, they're on their
00:10:47 --> 00:10:52 own little trajectory or orbit by themselves.
00:10:52 --> 00:10:54 It doesn't really matter what the competitors
00:10:54 --> 00:10:57 do because they are dominating basically the
00:10:57 --> 00:10:59 GPU market and the AI market for the most part.
00:11:00 --> 00:11:03 But it should be interesting to see when we actually
00:11:03 --> 00:11:08 get official word or official announcement of
00:11:08 --> 00:11:10 these graphics cards, if they will be good or
00:11:10 --> 00:11:15 not. Now moving on to AMD accusing Intel's arrow
00:11:15 --> 00:11:19 lake of being a horrible product and Why you
00:11:19 --> 00:11:23 can't really buy the 9800 x3d quite yet, but
00:11:23 --> 00:11:26 eventually it'll smooth itself out especially
00:11:26 --> 00:11:31 with the new x3d chips coming out the 9 950 950
00:11:31 --> 00:11:35 and the 9900 x3d coming out so it should be interesting
00:11:35 --> 00:11:39 to see it because once when the 9800 x3d was
00:11:39 --> 00:11:43 announced It was a really great product. Like
00:11:43 --> 00:11:46 people, it was, it did a really good job of being
00:11:46 --> 00:11:49 really good at gaming and not bad at content
00:11:49 --> 00:11:51 creation, not so much, but it did a really great
00:11:51 --> 00:11:55 job of that. And so became a really great product
00:11:55 --> 00:11:57 for gamers because they saw the efficiency of
00:11:57 --> 00:12:01 it in gaming. And it's basically a solely really
00:12:01 --> 00:12:06 good gaming CPU for gamers. It still does a really
00:12:06 --> 00:12:08 good job with content creation, but mostly gaming.
00:12:09 --> 00:12:12 You did a really great job with that. So I'm
00:12:12 --> 00:12:15 not surprised that this is sold out really quickly,
00:12:15 --> 00:12:20 but apparently AMD is not happy because the product
00:12:20 --> 00:12:23 has sold out so quickly because of AMD's Aero
00:12:23 --> 00:12:29 Lake and just it's okay. CPU of it. It's just
00:12:29 --> 00:12:33 okay. It's not great. It's not horrible as they
00:12:33 --> 00:12:35 claim. It's just Okay, does content creation
00:12:35 --> 00:12:39 better than the AMD one, but gaming it's lacking
00:12:39 --> 00:12:43 in the gaming department. So we'll see what Intel
00:12:43 --> 00:12:45 does. Cause man, they've been not doing well
00:12:45 --> 00:12:50 for the past almost decade. I would say once
00:12:50 --> 00:12:55 Ryzen came out, it, it hurt them quite a bit
00:12:55 --> 00:12:58 before that they were dominating. They didn't
00:12:58 --> 00:13:02 care what AMD was doing. Bulldozer was terrible.
00:13:02 --> 00:13:06 It was interesting. CPU that just did not do
00:13:06 --> 00:13:10 well. It had an ARM architecture with it, and
00:13:10 --> 00:13:13 so it was trying to be like, it was trying to
00:13:13 --> 00:13:15 do that before Apple and all them actually figured
00:13:15 --> 00:13:18 out how to do it well. Didn't really pan out
00:13:18 --> 00:13:24 very well, but you live and learn, but we'll
00:13:24 --> 00:13:27 see what happens. All right, moving on to my
00:13:27 --> 00:13:33 main thing I want to talk about is how gaming
00:13:33 --> 00:13:35 developers, especially the Western ones, can
00:13:35 --> 00:13:37 set up for success for this year. Because the
00:13:37 --> 00:13:39 problem is that they've been taking a beating
00:13:39 --> 00:13:41 because they just haven't been making great games.
00:13:42 --> 00:13:45 Now there have been a few kind of shining ones.
00:13:45 --> 00:13:51 Stalker 2 was pretty good. King of Tunk Deliverance
00:13:51 --> 00:13:53 2, when it comes out in February, in the beginning
00:13:53 --> 00:13:56 of February, will be good. We got Final Fantasy
00:13:56 --> 00:14:01 Rebirth, that's supposed to be really good. Maybe
00:14:01 --> 00:14:04 civilization seven, really not quite sure about
00:14:04 --> 00:14:08 that one quite yet. We have two points. Which
00:14:08 --> 00:14:11 one is it museum? That's what it was two points
00:14:11 --> 00:14:13 museum, which I find to be like an enduring thing.
00:14:13 --> 00:14:16 If you don't know two points is hospital was
00:14:16 --> 00:14:18 the first one that came out and it was the spiritual
00:14:18 --> 00:14:21 successor of bullfrogs theme hospital, which
00:14:21 --> 00:14:27 was a bombastic. It wasn't a city management.
00:14:27 --> 00:14:28 It was kind of like a building management type
00:14:28 --> 00:14:33 of a game where you create rooms for specific
00:14:33 --> 00:14:37 weird and crazy like symptoms or diseases or
00:14:37 --> 00:14:39 whatever. And then you cure them and then you
00:14:39 --> 00:14:41 do that. And it was a fun game when theme hospital
00:14:41 --> 00:14:43 came out and then they just never did a second
00:14:43 --> 00:14:46 one, which was weird because they, I think the
00:14:46 --> 00:14:50 next one was actually dungeon keeper, which was
00:14:50 --> 00:14:54 kind of like you play the bad person. And they
00:14:54 --> 00:14:56 made two of those and then Bullfrog was ceased
00:14:56 --> 00:14:59 to exist almost because EA doesn't know how to
00:14:59 --> 00:15:05 manage these studios properly. I'm looking at
00:15:05 --> 00:15:10 you Dice and any of the storied ones that did
00:15:10 --> 00:15:12 a really great job before EA bought them. And
00:15:12 --> 00:15:14 then it's kind of, yeah, he probably shouldn't
00:15:14 --> 00:15:18 be bought out by EA, you know, Bioware. Anyways,
00:15:19 --> 00:15:23 what I'm hoping is that you understand what the
00:15:23 --> 00:15:26 gamer once. We don't want to be lectured to.
00:15:27 --> 00:15:30 We don't. Look at Helldivers 2, look at Kingdom
00:15:30 --> 00:15:33 Come Deliverance 2, it looks like it's getting
00:15:33 --> 00:15:36 a really great buzz. These are the people that
00:15:36 --> 00:15:39 said, look it, gamers don't want to be lectured
00:15:39 --> 00:15:44 about modern politicalness. We play games to
00:15:44 --> 00:15:48 escape, not to be bashed over the head with your
00:15:48 --> 00:15:54 weird political ideologies. Most gamers are male.
00:15:55 --> 00:15:57 So hating on males does not help your bottom
00:15:57 --> 00:16:02 line at all. And quite a few of them are white
00:16:02 --> 00:16:05 males, including myself. So that doesn't help.
00:16:06 --> 00:16:12 So you might want to stop doing that. Maybe just
00:16:12 --> 00:16:15 maybe stop with the trans stuff because no one
00:16:15 --> 00:16:18 likes it. Gay thing. Fine. I don't really care.
00:16:20 --> 00:16:24 No more pronouns. No more pride flags. No one
00:16:24 --> 00:16:29 cares about those Make a game that lets me escape
00:16:29 --> 00:16:32 whatever it is. I'm trying to escape from if
00:16:32 --> 00:16:35 it's a fantasy game Don't have top surgery scars
00:16:35 --> 00:16:39 or bash me over the head about how to properly
00:16:39 --> 00:16:43 pronoun somebody because I don't care And plus
00:16:43 --> 00:16:45 it's a fantasy game and if you're a guy you want
00:16:45 --> 00:16:46 to be you really can do it anyway So it doesn't
00:16:46 --> 00:16:49 really matter or vice versa doesn't really matter
00:16:49 --> 00:16:55 but Make a game that's fun. Look at Marvel Rivals
00:16:55 --> 00:16:58 versus Overwatch 2. Overwatch 2, we don't need
00:16:58 --> 00:17:01 6v6, it doesn't work. We're gonna go with 5v5
00:17:01 --> 00:17:03 because it's a lot better and blah, blah, blah,
00:17:03 --> 00:17:06 blah, blah. And it's not been great. They said
00:17:06 --> 00:17:12 they're gonna have PVE. Didn't happen. They had
00:17:12 --> 00:17:16 a lot of missing features from Overwatch to Overwatch
00:17:16 --> 00:17:20 2, which was weird. And then Marvel Rivals comes
00:17:20 --> 00:17:23 out and completely trounces Overwatch 2 in player
00:17:23 --> 00:17:28 count, and still is trouncing them. Look at Delta
00:17:28 --> 00:17:32 Force. Delta Force is pretty close to a carbon
00:17:32 --> 00:17:37 copy of Battlefield 2042, but way better optimized.
00:17:39 --> 00:17:43 There's still a few issues with it, but all in
00:17:43 --> 00:17:45 all, it's actually a really solid game, plus
00:17:45 --> 00:17:47 with a really great extraction shooter. Which
00:17:47 --> 00:17:50 Battlefield 2042 couldn't even do. It had its
00:17:50 --> 00:17:58 own and it was terrible. Does a better job. Hands
00:17:58 --> 00:18:02 down. And DICE basically made the Battlefield
00:18:02 --> 00:18:08 style like genre what it is today. And the quality
00:18:08 --> 00:18:10 has gone down. People keep on saying, I wished
00:18:10 --> 00:18:13 for the old Battlefield 4 era. And I'm like,
00:18:13 --> 00:18:15 oh, so you wish for the game to be broken for
00:18:15 --> 00:18:18 a year? and then eventually fixed. They're taking
00:18:18 --> 00:18:20 better steps now because it got drowned so bad
00:18:20 --> 00:18:24 in 2042 that they had to take a step back when
00:18:24 --> 00:18:27 you look at it. We need to have play tests. We
00:18:27 --> 00:18:29 need to have a longer development cycle. We need
00:18:29 --> 00:18:33 to make sure this game runs as well as we can
00:18:33 --> 00:18:37 make it run with the time we have and within
00:18:37 --> 00:18:41 reason. No more operators. Everybody hates operators.
00:18:42 --> 00:18:45 Like just give us normal soldiers. and just have
00:18:45 --> 00:18:48 them as attack like gadgets. That's what I wish
00:18:48 --> 00:18:50 Delta Force did. I don't care about the operators.
00:18:50 --> 00:18:53 I could care less. It's weird to have operators
00:18:53 --> 00:18:58 like just normal faceless soldiers like battlefield
00:18:58 --> 00:19:03 used to do. And let me just pick the gadgets
00:19:03 --> 00:19:09 that I want to pick and there you go. But. Hero
00:19:09 --> 00:19:12 shooters man, they're great. I love them. But
00:19:12 --> 00:19:14 sometimes they bleed over into other genres and
00:19:14 --> 00:19:18 it's it doesn't work Stop it. I know apex legends
00:19:18 --> 00:19:22 was popular and it popularized like the loose
00:19:22 --> 00:19:26 shooter hero shooter type dynamic and it did
00:19:26 --> 00:19:27 a pretty good job in the beginning and now it's
00:19:27 --> 00:19:34 lost its way, but I Tell you like it's not hard
00:19:34 --> 00:19:37 Western gaming developers to figure out the modern
00:19:37 --> 00:19:40 gamer. It's like the previous Gamer or the older
00:19:40 --> 00:19:44 ones. It's not hard. Look at your older games.
00:19:44 --> 00:19:49 What made them fun? player choice good design
00:19:49 --> 00:19:55 good sound a way of Playing a game without you
00:19:55 --> 00:19:59 monitoring what I'm saying because that's stupid
00:19:59 --> 00:20:02 Found me to say retard and faggot and all that
00:20:02 --> 00:20:07 other stuff Stop nannying me. I'm an adult. I'm
00:20:07 --> 00:20:10 not something and add block features and stuff.
00:20:12 --> 00:20:16 That's all you need to do. Like the reason why
00:20:16 --> 00:20:19 the golden era of gaming was when you didn't
00:20:19 --> 00:20:21 care about policing people on what they said,
00:20:21 --> 00:20:24 and that's why it got so popular. Businesses
00:20:24 --> 00:20:28 forget on why they got popular and they basically
00:20:28 --> 00:20:33 lose it all because they can't understand why
00:20:33 --> 00:20:36 no one wants to play their game. Stop insulting
00:20:36 --> 00:20:39 your player. your customer base, understand your
00:20:39 --> 00:20:46 customer base, base your game around good design
00:20:46 --> 00:20:49 and make a story around that. Give player choice.
00:20:49 --> 00:20:51 The reason why boulders gate three was so popular
00:20:51 --> 00:20:54 is because yes, it had gay things and trans thing,
00:20:54 --> 00:20:57 but you didn't have to be a part of it. If you
00:20:57 --> 00:21:01 didn't want to, you could completely ignore it.
00:21:02 --> 00:21:04 If you're a simulation game, make a simulation
00:21:04 --> 00:21:07 game and make it about that. Kingdom Deliverance
00:21:07 --> 00:21:10 and it's one second one that's coming out is
00:21:10 --> 00:21:14 a good game because it stuck to what it was and
00:21:14 --> 00:21:17 didn't try to cram in modern stuff. It was a
00:21:17 --> 00:21:24 game about dark medieval times in Europe. And
00:21:24 --> 00:21:26 even though the press was trying to lambast it
00:21:26 --> 00:21:28 like, why isn't there more diversity in it? The
00:21:28 --> 00:21:31 developers like, because it's Europe in the medieval
00:21:31 --> 00:21:33 times, there wouldn't be that many black people
00:21:33 --> 00:21:40 there. or of any Travel wasn't as convenient
00:21:40 --> 00:21:47 as it is now plus it was highly dangerous So
00:21:47 --> 00:21:50 just do that like seriously you don't have to
00:21:50 --> 00:21:56 push in modern politics. I don't care I escape
00:21:56 --> 00:22:02 it And Ubisoft for the love of God just make
00:22:02 --> 00:22:05 good games like I swear when you say it's a quadruple
00:22:05 --> 00:22:11 a game it's gonna be a terrible game it's gonna
00:22:11 --> 00:22:15 be awful actually skull and bones awful Star
00:22:15 --> 00:22:18 Wars awful you are delaying Assassin's Creed
00:22:18 --> 00:22:22 shadows for the second or third time now probably
00:22:22 --> 00:22:25 gonna be awful too I don't buy your games anymore
00:22:25 --> 00:22:27 I think the last one was Prince of Persia the
00:22:27 --> 00:22:31 side -scroller one that actually was good no
00:22:31 --> 00:22:37 avatar which isn't that good You also had a really
00:22:37 --> 00:22:42 Not bad multiplayer shooter with x -defying,
00:22:42 --> 00:22:44 but you pulled the plug on that one. I don't
00:22:44 --> 00:22:50 know why You probably could have built it back
00:22:50 --> 00:22:52 just Kept on doing it, but you pulled the plug
00:22:52 --> 00:22:56 on that one for other games like Star Wars Star
00:22:56 --> 00:22:58 Wars was bad. No one wanted to play that game.
00:22:59 --> 00:23:01 No one cared when he brought to steam That's
00:23:01 --> 00:23:04 how bad it was. There was too much bad press
00:23:04 --> 00:23:08 and too much of you guys doing weird stuff, like
00:23:08 --> 00:23:10 making sure that the YouTubers you sent it to
00:23:10 --> 00:23:14 made sure that they were making positive reviews
00:23:14 --> 00:23:16 on it instead of saying, you know what, here's
00:23:16 --> 00:23:19 the game. If you like it, cool. We love positive
00:23:19 --> 00:23:23 reviews. If you don't, that's up to you. That's
00:23:23 --> 00:23:28 how you do it. But you cannot make girl boss
00:23:28 --> 00:23:30 things anymore. We don't want it. Girl bosses
00:23:30 --> 00:23:34 are annoying. Make it about trans issues. No
00:23:34 --> 00:23:38 one cares. Make it about Marxist issues or Marxist
00:23:38 --> 00:23:43 ideology. No one wants that. Make a game more,
00:23:44 --> 00:23:47 I would say more conservative now because the
00:23:47 --> 00:23:49 normal things when I was a child is now very
00:23:49 --> 00:23:52 conservative now. Make it like that in the 90s.
00:23:53 --> 00:23:56 Look at the 90s games. Look at why they were
00:23:56 --> 00:24:00 popular. If your target audience is male which
00:24:00 --> 00:24:04 gaming is mostly male majority male might want
00:24:04 --> 00:24:11 to Do that For the love of God just make it about
00:24:11 --> 00:24:18 escapism make it fun don't make it a chore It's
00:24:18 --> 00:24:21 all we want really like I'm giving you a blueprint
00:24:21 --> 00:24:31 for the love of God just use it Anyways What
00:24:31 --> 00:24:32 do you think do you think I'm off base or not?
00:24:32 --> 00:24:34 Let me know in the comments below with YouTube
00:24:34 --> 00:24:36 or Spotify because apparently you could do on
00:24:36 --> 00:24:41 Spotify to anyways Thank you for listening to

00:25:07 --> 00:25:09 great week guys. See you next week later
