Tech Tariffs, GPU Prices, and Why Gamers Should Buy Now Before Prices Spike

In this episode of Digital Coffee Gaming Brew, host Brett Geiser delves into the internal conflicts at BioWare, discussing former lead writer David Gator's revelations about EA's preference for Mass Effect over Dragon Age and the challenges faced by the Dragon Age team. The episode also covers the release of Lords of the Fallen 2.0, updates on the next Battlefield game, and NVIDIA's new GPU drivers. Other game updates include Skull and Bones Year Two, Assassin's Creed sales figures, and Overwatch 2's new stadium mode. Additionally, Geiser touches on broader industry topics like government views on video games, China's tech claims, and impending tariffs on tech products.

Here are 7 key themes discussed in this episode:

  1. Bioware’s internal conflicts and EA’s marketing missteps
  2. Updates and content changes in Lords of the Fallen
  3. Battlefield’s new features and skill-based matchmaking
  4. NVIDIA GPU driver issues and pricing challenges
  5. Ubisoft’s sales strategies and Skull and Bones content
  6. Overwatch 2’s new Stadium mode and player base
  7. Societal views on video games and male participation

Here are three fun facts from this episode:

  1. The new "Stadium" mode in Overwatch 2 will be a big change, featuring third-person gameplay, unique hero abilities, and no hero swapping, leaning more into MOBA-style strategy.
  2. Lords of the Fallen 2.0 now includes a free Friends Pass and co-op play, plus over 50 post-launch updates, making it a much bigger and more social experience.
  3. Skull and Bones is finally getting land combat—years after release—so players can soon jump off their ships for sword fighting and firearm battles on land.

Speaker:

Welcome to a new episode of Digital Coffee Gaming Brew, and

Speaker:

I'm your host, Brett Geiser.

Speaker:

If you could please subscribe to this podcast and all your favorite

Speaker:

podcasting apps really does help.

Speaker:

But this week I'm gonna be talking about some drama and interesting things

Speaker:

going that basically what's going on with BioWare, the, apparently the

Speaker:

Mass Effect team, the Dragon Age team, didn't really like it and he didn't

Speaker:

really understand how to market it.

Speaker:

So that's gonna be an interesting thing to talk about.

Speaker:

Also, Lords of the Fallen 2.0 is out.

Speaker:

We're gonna be talking about that the next Battlefield game and some

Speaker:

interesting things they're testing out is probably the best way of saying it.

Speaker:

All right, NVIDIA's new GPU drivers are out, and we're gonna be talking

Speaker:

about Skull and Bones year two, because that's still a thing apparently.

Speaker:

Talking a little bit about Assassin's Creed, shadows and like the sales of it

Speaker:

because they never give numbers and it's a very interesting thing that's going on.

Speaker:

'cause before they would actually give numbers, it's the best selling one.

Speaker:

Numbers, it is selling really well.

Speaker:

Here are the numbers.

Speaker:

But this one is it's the best selling.

Speaker:

No numbers, just take our word for it type of thing and talk about that.

Speaker:

And a little bit about Overwatch two in its new stadium mode.

Speaker:

I have not played it a little news about June Awakening and it's not, great

Speaker:

news, but it's news in General King.

Speaker:

And Come Deliverance two update.

Speaker:

We're gonna talk a little bit about marathon and people

Speaker:

aren't that excited about it.

Speaker:

Also we're gonna talking about.

Speaker:

Apparently the GOP thinks that men play video games all day, and that's

Speaker:

why it's a drain on Medicare and not really the underlying issues

Speaker:

and just playing video games.

Speaker:

And so we talk a little bit about that and why they're wrong, because apparently

Speaker:

it, and it's just one of those things we're talking about the tariffs and kind

Speaker:

of China's technology and why you never trust what China says because really

Speaker:

you just never trust what they say They, they have said amazing things about

Speaker:

their stuff and then when you look at the numbers or you look at the fiscal product,

Speaker:

it's not actually what they say it is.

Speaker:

So they're always lying about it, which is always funny to me.

Speaker:

Anyways, let's go on with the show.

Speaker:

Mm. That's good.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

I hope you're having a fabulous Friday because it is Friday.

Speaker:

But we're gonna get into the first thing about BioWare.

Speaker:

'cause apparently it's, it wasn't all rainbows and sunshine at BioWare when

Speaker:

there was mass effect in Dragon Age.

Speaker:

Fortunately there's no more Dragon Age, but from the former lead writer

Speaker:

at BioWare, David Gator, I think this is his last name, sorry if I

Speaker:

mispronounce, it claims that during his time at the company, EA preferred

Speaker:

the Mass Fix series over Dragon Age.

Speaker:

He worked at BioWare for nearly two decades and was involved in every

Speaker:

Dragon age except for the veil guard.

Speaker:

Move.

Speaker:

He stated that EAs market team favored mass effect because it was perceived

Speaker:

as modern and action oriented.

Speaker:

Which is funny because Boulders Gate three, so clearly the EA

Speaker:

hires, the dumbest marketers.

Speaker:

The don't really understand games or gamers.

Speaker:

So you may be wondering why EA is doing so terribly, hire better marketers.

Speaker:

Anyways he expressed that Dragon Age was always just shy of the

Speaker:

acts since Dragon age origins.

Speaker:

He noted that the variations in Dragon Age games might be due to BioWare team

Speaker:

tendency to overreact to feedback and criticism along with EAs influence.

Speaker:

So it.

Speaker:

The game was all about an overreaction to what was going on, and just poor hiring

Speaker:

practices, putting people in leadership positions that they should never been in.

Speaker:

Listening to the crazies is probably another reason why.

Speaker:

It's why Veil Guard didn't do very well.

Speaker:

Secondly, I've played a bit of it.

Speaker:

I'm never excited to play it.

Speaker:

I am interested to see it, but every time I play it, I get bored 'cause it's

Speaker:

just not, it's not a good game overall.

Speaker:

The writing's not great and the look of it feels way too cartoony

Speaker:

from Inquisition and the other one.

Speaker:

So it should have been its own game, meaning it should have just

Speaker:

renamed it to something else, probably would've sold better.

Speaker:

But when you have a specific like art style and writing direction of it and you

Speaker:

completely flip it, it doesn't do well.

Speaker:

Anyways.

Speaker:

He also previously criticized EA suggesting they should follow learning

Speaker:

a studio's approach with Boulders.

Speaker:

Gate three after EA indicated that the veil guard did not resonate with a

Speaker:

broad enough audience because you didn't make it for a broad enough audience.

Speaker:

You make a game for the majority of people.

Speaker:

If the majority of people do not resonate with gender ideology,

Speaker:

you don't make it for that.

Speaker:

That is a very specific very niche and very unsuccessful way

Speaker:

of making a successful game.

Speaker:

Majority of people do not agree with it, so stop putting it in your games.

Speaker:

It's that simple.

Speaker:

The creator and former lead writer of Dragon Age discussed the experience

Speaker:

at Byer before leaving in 2016.

Speaker:

You noted that the two teams had a very different.

Speaker:

Diff different cultures and operate almost like separate studios,

Speaker:

which makes sense when you form teams around specific things.

Speaker:

Each team will be different from the other one.

Speaker:

It's, that's just how humans are.

Speaker:

He was asked by BioWare Management to write a science fantasy story

Speaker:

for the game Anthem, which was initially, which initially has been

Speaker:

conceived as a hard sci-fi setting.

Speaker:

He received feedback from Anthem team that he was, his writing was too Dragon

Speaker:

age leading to difficulties in his role.

Speaker:

First of all, the dude created Dragon age origin, so he shouldn't be criticizing him

Speaker:

at all because that was a fantastic game.

Speaker:

Fantastic.

Speaker:

Writing record H two was still pretty good.

Speaker:

Inquisition was alright, I, to be fair, it just.

Speaker:

It got not as good as Origins, but Origins was really good in the writing terms.

Speaker:

I'll even put Inquisition as still pretty good writing for what it was because

Speaker:

Vegar just kinda like just killed.

Speaker:

It didn't do very well.

Speaker:

He mentioned that Anthem team appeared to be asking against Ma making an

Speaker:

RPG and did not provide him with the necessary tools for storytelling.

Speaker:

After 17 years at BioWare, he left following a failed attempt

Speaker:

to negotiate a creative director position, expressed his de desire

Speaker:

to leave the company post BioWare.

Speaker:

He developed Stray Gods, the role playing musical and is

Speaker:

working on a project called MEUs.

Speaker:

Apparently it's a card deck building game, but we continue to

Speaker:

work on Anthem for several years, which ultimately didn't happen.

Speaker:

They canned it, but it's a really interesting thing that's happening.

Speaker:

So the same company, but the teams hate each other, which

Speaker:

goes with cultural problems.

Speaker:

You're supposed to be a COHEs, you're supposed to be a main cohesive team

Speaker:

with your own specific cultures.

Speaker:

And if someone from that team comes over there, the, it

Speaker:

shouldn't be looked as negative.

Speaker:

And if the dude wroted Dragon Age origins, you probably should listen to

Speaker:

the dude or help write it or whatever.

Speaker:

You should listen to him, creates great stories.

Speaker:

Anthem was okay, apparently not entirely his fault because if the team doesn't

Speaker:

help you out, you're screwed with creating really great stories within the game.

Speaker:

Anthem seemed to be doomed to fail because the team was a little too pretentious, a

Speaker:

little too entitled and very narcissistic about, oh, it's too much Dragon Age.

Speaker:

How dare you plebs that play.

Speaker:

RPGs.

Speaker:

We are not RPGs.

Speaker:

Even though our company was basically founded on RPGs,

Speaker:

that's how they got popular.

Speaker:

They created Boulders Gate and Boulders Gate two, which if you haven't played,

Speaker:

I recommend you playing Boulders.

Speaker:

Gate two is better, but they're both really good games,

Speaker:

so you can't hark on that.

Speaker:

And it's another reason why Veil Guard just wasn't as good.

Speaker:

'cause it felt like it was basically mass effect with dragons.

Speaker:

The comet's not that good.

Speaker:

It's okay, but there's no depth to it.

Speaker:

It's very repetitive.

Speaker:

It, it was just not a good game.

Speaker:

And I know that.

Speaker:

BioWare had asked for help from the massive ACT team to create combat for it.

Speaker:

So I know exactly where it came from.

Speaker:

'cause it feels very mass effect.

Speaker:

And mass effect has great combat, but not in this sense.

Speaker:

It's tragic because BioWare used to be a great developer with great games.

Speaker:

Bulls Gate Two, Knights of the Republic, Jada Empire.

Speaker:

Great game.

Speaker:

Never Winter Nights, haven't played that.

Speaker:

Recommend you playing it

Speaker:

and then up sitting, just made better versions of it.

Speaker:

Never winter nights two Knights of the World Republic to by far the better

Speaker:

story out of the two execution, not so good because they were rushed.

Speaker:

But better story overall

Speaker:

it.

Speaker:

What do you do when it seems like EEA doesn't want them to succeed.

Speaker:

They just don't know how to market an A fantasy.

Speaker:

RPG, are you serious right now?

Speaker:

Mass Effect was quote unquote better.

Speaker:

They were both great games.

Speaker:

First of all, dragon Age is a fantastic game.

Speaker:

It was the spiritual successor of Boulders Gate.

Speaker:

If the marketing director from whatever team did not tell them to

Speaker:

make, to play the games to understand it better, terrible boss, you

Speaker:

should have your employees being like, look at, play these games.

Speaker:

Figure out why players like these games and market it that way.

Speaker:

Didn't happen.

Speaker:

Ye is incompetent.

Speaker:

They do not hire good people.

Speaker:

They do not hire competent people, unfortunately.

Speaker:

And it shows.

Speaker:

It has showed time and time again when

Speaker:

Titan Fall two came out and you wedged it between Battlefield

Speaker:

and Call of Duty stupid move.

Speaker:

Who thought that was a good strategy?

Speaker:

And people love Titan fall too.

Speaker:

They still wanna play it.

Speaker:

They're still asking for another Titan Fall game because Titan

Speaker:

fall was a really good game.

Speaker:

Like

Speaker:

you hire the wrong people and this is what you get.

Speaker:

Anyways.

Speaker:

Moving on to lower the Falling two,

Speaker:

which is released by CI games.

Speaker:

It is a remake of an older version of Lord the Realm or Lord the Fallen.

Speaker:

I don't wanna say Lord, the realms, which is actual game, that is

Speaker:

spiritual successor of one of the.

Speaker:

Recent games, I forget the game now, but Lord of the Fallen

Speaker:

2.0 is described as definitive.

Speaker:

Definitive edition of the game includes over 50 post-launch updates.

Speaker:

There is a free friends pass available as part of the update.

Speaker:

A small delay has been announced for the steam release due to technical

Speaker:

issues while the ea Epic Game Store, windows Store, PlayStation five,

Speaker:

Xbox s and x versions are unaffected.

Speaker:

It looks like it adds co-op to it as well, which, hey, at least

Speaker:

they're going with the time.

Speaker:

They're looking what Elder Ring is doing.

Speaker:

They're like, should probably bringing that in as well.

Speaker:

It's not a bad idea for it and if they're making a, a sequel to the game, probably

Speaker:

look at what Elder Ring has done and improve upon that and make it your own.

Speaker:

I think Lord of the VAs is a fine game.

Speaker:

I don't think there's terribly things wrong with it.

Speaker:

I think there was a lot of issues in the beginning, but I

Speaker:

think it's a really good game.

Speaker:

I. Alright, moving on to the next Battlefield game.

Speaker:

Battlefield six or whatever else is going to actually be called

Speaker:

doesn't, it still doesn't have official name, so that's why I said

Speaker:

whatever else it needs to be called.

Speaker:

Fans are participating in an early build of the game through Battlefield Labs play.

Speaker:

We play test program.

Speaker:

Participants of the play test have leaked footage to, despite is non-disclosure

Speaker:

agreement, which I think is really funny.

Speaker:

It's like you're not supposed to share stuff.

Speaker:

We'll share stuff anyways because we wanna keep you accountable because

Speaker:

of what you did previously, which is called Battlefield 2042, which was

Speaker:

not a great game when it launched.

Speaker:

It was okay, not great.

Speaker:

I still don't, I don't play that much anymore because

Speaker:

don't really care about it.

Speaker:

Play Delta Force if I want to.

Speaker:

Better game, wish Delta Force didn't have the specialist or whatever they call it.

Speaker:

But there it is.

Speaker:

But, so the controversy right now is around, I. The skill-based matchmaking.

Speaker:

Now, they said that this has already been implemented since 2042, which

Speaker:

is not the best way of saying it.

Speaker:

Hey, we've implemented in the worst battlefield game title to date.

Speaker:

It's should you really be adding it?

Speaker:

Now, the lead producer of Battlefield addressed the rumors about the SBMM.

Speaker:

In the post stated that heavy SBMM were skill separations prioritized

Speaker:

as considered problematic, but having a skill value for matchmaking

Speaker:

is necessary for balanced teams.

Speaker:

But it didn't really work all the time because there were times where I played.

Speaker:

And it was very unbalanced, so I get it.

Speaker:

But yeah, if you're gonna do this type of like matchmaking skills should be like

Speaker:

the least amount it should be judging on because it's battlefield, big battlefield.

Speaker:

You're gonna have tons of other players playing.

Speaker:

It doesn't really matter as much.

Speaker:

Then Call of Duty, which is smaller maps, even though I don't really agree with it.

Speaker:

And I think X defined did a good job of not really having it.

Speaker:

But if you're going to have it,

Speaker:

skills should be the least thing you worry about.

Speaker:

It should be the lowest value for figuring out who plays the game.

Speaker:

If you do that, it'll be successful.

Speaker:

If you don't, we're gonna have problems.

Speaker:

And people are very skeptical and they should.

Speaker:

And they should be.

Speaker:

I. Because Battlefield 2042 is a great example of what not to do for a game.

Speaker:

Scoreboard really wasn't there?

Speaker:

There were tons of problems in it.

Speaker:

Just performance issues was lacking.

Speaker:

Specialists were just half begged.

Speaker:

I think 128 players can work, but they have to be very well designed maps.

Speaker:

But I do think there is a way to make it work.

Speaker:

And the vanilla games were, vanilla maps were not good.

Speaker:

There were too many open sight lines for snipers to kill you on.

Speaker:

And that was the biggest issue of all of it.

Speaker:

And the maps looked like there was never a battle being waged, ever.

Speaker:

And this was supposed to be like civilization has fallen

Speaker:

everywhere type of a thing.

Speaker:

And it's like that.

Speaker:

It was just like.

Speaker:

The setting was great.

Speaker:

The execution of the setting was not destruction, really wasn't there

Speaker:

anymore, even though it was like the most destruction we ever had.

Speaker:

And I'm like, dude, like it's not like Battlefield Five had better destruction.

Speaker:

Battlefield One had, like the previous titles that were subpar or better, had

Speaker:

better destruction than this game did.

Speaker:

Portal was the saving Grace, which they basically ignored.

Speaker:

I'm glad this supposedly coming back as Portal 2.0, but you

Speaker:

cannot ignore this game mode.

Speaker:

I keep on saying, if you bring back portal again, put all the previous

Speaker:

battlefields in that it'll save you and it will make the game last

Speaker:

as long as possible, even post.

Speaker:

Development.

Speaker:

And even after Dev after support is done, people will come back to play it.

Speaker:

People will come back to play Battlefield.

Speaker:

Four people come back to play Battlefield One.

Speaker:

Why?

Speaker:

Because these games were really good.

Speaker:

Battlefield four was not good when it was launched.

Speaker:

It took a year to actually fix the map, which people seemed to forget.

Speaker:

The game was awful when it launched.

Speaker:

Battlefield Four was horrendous.

Speaker:

I got cut outta matches so many times.

Speaker:

I didn't play it for a while 'cause I'm like, I don't really wanna deal with this.

Speaker:

Evolution was okay.

Speaker:

It was more of a gimmick than anything else, but it was there.

Speaker:

Teachers Shanghai.

Speaker:

Shanghai is still, I still enjoy playing it.

Speaker:

One of my favorite maps, I like the Battlefield Two maps a little bit more.

Speaker:

They were a little bit harder to do.

Speaker:

Golf of Moment is I still find fun.

Speaker:

You though you have a terrible team.

Speaker:

You're screwed.

Speaker:

Like they need to lean in on their past stuff and try to

Speaker:

implement them into portal.

Speaker:

I Portal should actually be battlefield.

Speaker:

Battlefield should be portal.

Speaker:

You put the old games in and then you just have a new game and you put

Speaker:

it into portal, and then you have these different portals to go to.

Speaker:

Different types of games is the best way going forward.

Speaker:

They want a live service portal is your future.

Speaker:

Now.

Speaker:

Whatever you're trying to do, which I swear if you put but more call to do

Speaker:

stuff in here, I will not play your game.

Speaker:

Forget that.

Speaker:

All right, so Nvidia is releasing a new GPU driver, version 50, sorry, 576.02 on.

Speaker:

Now already happened April 16th, 2025.

Speaker:

The driver includes numerous fixes for bugs and crashes

Speaker:

affecting its game ready drivers.

Speaker:

Reports of issues include black screens, game crashes, and

Speaker:

general stability problems.

Speaker:

Driver fixes stability issues with Windows 11, version 24 H two, which

Speaker:

I have, and A-B-S-O-D or blue screen of death while playing dlss four game

Speaker:

games with a multi frame generation.

Speaker:

That's great.

Speaker:

Have your most selling point if you can actually buy a 50 of 5,000 series

Speaker:

and the highlight of the 5,000 series crashes your game and crashes your system.

Speaker:

Great.

Speaker:

It addresses random black screened issues with a 50 series GPUs and general system

Speaker:

disabilities Concern specific game.

Speaker:

Related fixes include crashes in Fortnite, star Wars Outlaws, and Monster Hunter

Speaker:

Wilds, as well as stutter issues.

Speaker:

In Overwatch two, it's not a new game.

Speaker:

The release notes indicate a significant number of fixes taking up two pages, which

Speaker:

is unusual compared to typical updates.

Speaker:

'cause typical updates aren't that big with Nvidia.

Speaker:

So usually a MT that has the worst problems.

Speaker:

But I haven't heard as many problems with a MD, which is

Speaker:

funny 'cause NVIDIA's supposed to be the good one and you're not.

Speaker:

Really?

Speaker:

I would actually was gonna upgrade my GPU this year and then I kept on

Speaker:

hearing reports about low sale, like low availability, higher pricing,

Speaker:

not very good performance from the 40 series to the 5,000 series.

Speaker:

And I'm like.

Speaker:

You know what?

Speaker:

I know I have a 30 90, but I'm just gonna wait it out and

Speaker:

then I'm like, you know what?

Speaker:

Screw this.

Speaker:

I'll just wait for the 6,000 series, and maybe they'll have multi frame

Speaker:

generations and it won't even matter because it's all a gimmick.

Speaker:

I forgot to mention that the driver also supports the GForce RTX 50 60 TI GPUs,

Speaker:

which is launching at the starting price of 3 79, which actually will not be

Speaker:

the starting price because of tariffs.

Speaker:

I know there's a supposed pause on it, which will get later

Speaker:

in the show, but it will not.

Speaker:

That will not be the starting price.

Speaker:

I guarantee you, you're probably gonna have to add $200 or more

Speaker:

to that, so you're probably going to be spending about 500 to $600.

Speaker:

It's probably close to 600 to $700 to be really honest with you.

Speaker:

Even the quote unquote, not even mid-range or mid-range GPUs are inching towards the

Speaker:

thousand dollars price point, which goes to show you MSRP does not matter anymore.

Speaker:

Especially if we make it in China.

Speaker:

Probably shouldn't be making it in China anymore.

Speaker:

Alright, moving on to Ubisoft.

Speaker:

And it plans for significant content additions to skull and bones for those

Speaker:

that are still actually playing this game.

Speaker:

And it's year two update, including new maps, ships, and land combat.

Speaker:

Oh my God.

Speaker:

They're finally allowing you to go on land because What's that one?

Speaker:

What's that Rear one from Microsoft?

Speaker:

I don't remember the name.

Speaker:

It's basically like a sea of thieves.

Speaker:

There it is.

Speaker:

That one already had all this stuff.

Speaker:

Plus you could get on other people's boats.

Speaker:

Plus, you could actually.

Speaker:

Walk around your boat.

Speaker:

It was amazing technology that came out several years before this came.

Speaker:

Hubsoft is just, they can't catch a break, but it's also their fault.

Speaker:

They can't catch a break a lot of times.

Speaker:

So year two, the showcase occurred.

Speaker:

April 14th, 2025.

Speaker:

Season three, guts and Glory will introduce land combat and

Speaker:

allowing players to engage in sword fighting and firearm combat.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Amazing.

Speaker:

The game that launched a few years ago finally has land combat.

Speaker:

This is truly an early access game.

Speaker:

This game was not launched to be complete, and that has been Ubisoft's Mo

Speaker:

for a little too long and they deserve everything that's coming to them.

Speaker:

'cause this is a travesty.

Speaker:

Players will be able to rescue skilled crew members known as

Speaker:

officers during season three.

Speaker:

Woo.

Speaker:

Season one titled Ascent Into Chaos Launches on April 15th, 2025.

Speaker:

So it's already live and includes a loot enhancing item feature, challenging

Speaker:

world tiers and a new sch medium ship and a death tides PVP mode.

Speaker:

Season two Oath of War will launch in September excuse me, summer

Speaker:

of 2025 featuring mega forts and frigate larger large ships.

Speaker:

Alright, big forts kinda sounds a Lego Season four Eye of the

Speaker:

Beast will introduce the Kraken and Hunter's Guild this winter.

Speaker:

A free weekend of Skull and Bones will take place from September

Speaker:

17th, which is right now to.

Speaker:

September 21st, 2025, allowing players to try the game and purchase

Speaker:

it at a reduced price because nobody is really playing this game.

Speaker:

Skull and Bones was released on February 16th, 2024 for pc, PlayStation five,

Speaker:

and Xbox Series as, and the game is received from IGN, which is a seven

Speaker:

out 10, which I, you probably need to knock down like two extra ones,

Speaker:

five out of 10, always have reports.

Speaker:

Record player engagement shortly after the game's released, but did

Speaker:

not disclose specific sales numbers.

Speaker:

Sound familiar because they always do this now.

Speaker:

They're like, it's amazing.

Speaker:

We had record amounts of players playing the game.

Speaker:

All right, which sales figures don't look at that.

Speaker:

Alright, we'll look at team numbers.

Speaker:

That's not true.

Speaker:

Then what is, you won't give us the numbers.

Speaker:

You won't really tell us the numbers.

Speaker:

You just say it's doing really well.

Speaker:

Trust us, bro.

Speaker:

It's okay.

Speaker:

The launch of Skull bones coincide with a 200% increase in players

Speaker:

of playing Assassin's Creed.

Speaker:

Four black flag.

Speaker:

Because it was better 'cause you could actually go to land at the time.

Speaker:

Now you can over a year later.

Speaker:

Not really good.

Speaker:

Alright, speaking of sales numbers and Ubisoft, so there's this guy

Speaker:

called Matt and do wanna say his name.

Speaker:

He's only on blue sky by the way.

Speaker:

So it means that he will not get fact checked at all.

Speaker:

I do have an account.

Speaker:

I actually, I made a second account because it apparently blocked me.

Speaker:

Apparently I made him mad by asking for sales numbers.

Speaker:

Never asked people to show their work.

Speaker:

So the sales numbers of Assassins Creed shows has been the best selling

Speaker:

video game in the US by number sales for each of its first three weeks

Speaker:

since launch, only three weeks.

Speaker:

Data source.

Speaker:

The information comes from certain Nana Analyst map based on data available

Speaker:

through April 5th, which he never shares year to date performance.

Speaker:

Year to date, assess Screech Shadow Trails only Capcom's must Monster

Speaker:

Hunter Wildes in sales, which it also trails significantly by Schedule one

Speaker:

because Schedule one beat out Monster Hunters Wilds critical reception.

Speaker:

The game has a Met critic rating of 81.

Speaker:

Characterize is generally favorable, and 80% on 16,000 steam reviewers.

Speaker:

Team user reviews at are positive ranking overall reviews as very positive.

Speaker:

Recent update game has continued updated you, player, the player base.

Speaker:

The game has generally reportedly surpassed 2 million players

Speaker:

shortly after launch supposedly.

Speaker:

'cause we don't really know what the numbers are.

Speaker:

Here's my issue with all this.

Speaker:

I went to Blue Skies.

Speaker:

Blue Sky 'cause it was on there because that's where you post things

Speaker:

that you will not be fact-check.

Speaker:

'cause if you post it on X, then people will fact check it through community

Speaker:

notes and said that yes it did sell.

Speaker:

Mind you, no sales figures, just trust me bro.

Speaker:

It did sell well.

Speaker:

That's not how you convince people that it did sell well.

Speaker:

I am fine if you make a game that sells well that I think is not

Speaker:

very good, I'm fine with that.

Speaker:

But show your work.

Speaker:

If it's math, show your work.

Speaker:

If it's sales figures, show your work.

Speaker:

Stop telling me to trust you, bro, because you said it.

Speaker:

Something is selling.

Speaker:

That doesn't make any sense.

Speaker:

Ubisoft, to date has not shared any sales figures on Assassin's Creed shadows.

Speaker:

This company, which apparently this guy has been former, has worked previously on

Speaker:

other developers, has not shared any data.

Speaker:

He just says, through the data that I've seen, it's sold.

Speaker:

I don't know what that means.

Speaker:

If you cannot share your data, it's not true.

Speaker:

Please share your data.

Speaker:

Let us go through your data.

Speaker:

If you can't do that, then you are being misleading.

Speaker:

I am fine.

Speaker:

If Assassins' Creed sells well, it will not hurt me whatsoever.

Speaker:

What I am critical of is people, especially Ubisoft and those people,

Speaker:

this dude Matt saying it's sold.

Speaker:

Well, trust me, not how this works.

Speaker:

Stop saying that.

Speaker:

Show where the numbers are.

Speaker:

Show me if you said it was behind Monster, wilds, monster, hunter,

Speaker:

wilds, then show me the data.

Speaker:

But how much was it behind?

Speaker:

Was it 30%?

Speaker:

Was it 10%?

Speaker:

Was it 50%?

Speaker:

What is the data?

Speaker:

The, we've had 3 million players play the game.

Speaker:

What does that mean?

Speaker:

Because Ubisoft has a subscription service.

Speaker:

That people can use and then reportedly have 2 million players.

Speaker:

So did you just decide to put all those 2 million players, be like, look,

Speaker:

2 million players played the game.

Speaker:

'cause they're on our subscription service, which makes no sense.

Speaker:

Like I, we just wanna know the numbers and you can't provide them.

Speaker:

It's weird, like previously when developers were happy about good sales,

Speaker:

they would provide the sales numbers.

Speaker:

They don't,

Speaker:

they did well.

Speaker:

How well did it do, trust me?

Speaker:

Not the good argument.

Speaker:

Why are people making worse arguments?

Speaker:

If your game sold?

Speaker:

You should be wanting to show the numbers, but it's really suspicious when you don't.

Speaker:

I don't know, it's just weird.

Speaker:

Alright, over watch two.

Speaker:

It has a new game mode called Stadium It release, it will be

Speaker:

launching on April 22nd, 2025.

Speaker:

And stadium mode is considered a significant change to the game.

Speaker:

Reason being is because you it's, it leans more into the Moab type

Speaker:

of a thing with different types of abilities, different types of

Speaker:

things you can do with a character.

Speaker:

It's in third person mode.

Speaker:

It's supposed to be the game changer of Overwatch too, we'll see.

Speaker:

It could be fun, it could be not.

Speaker:

It all depends on if players are gonna actually play the game.

Speaker:

Let's be honest, since Marvel rivals came out, Overwatch has not been doing

Speaker:

very well, has lost a bunch of players.

Speaker:

'cause players should have just become just tired of just Blizzard in general.

Speaker:

Blizzard is not what it used to be.

Speaker:

Blizzard made great games in the past.

Speaker:

The last great game it made was the original Overwatch.

Speaker:

I will not consider Overwatch two a great game because it J, it's not

Speaker:

even a two, it's just Overwatch, one and a half, and people right to say

Speaker:

that it's Overwatch one and a half.

Speaker:

But the, they made StarCraft two Warcraft, Warcraft two Warcraft three.

Speaker:

World of Warcraft Diablo one, Diablo two, three, and four is all right.

Speaker:

But again, they don't make a lot of original games anymore.

Speaker:

They did have one in development, survival game, got canned.

Speaker:

So here we're at.

Speaker:

So Stadium is the best of seven game mode that includes shorter rounds and allows

Speaker:

for strategic planning between them.

Speaker:

The mode also allows players to enhance their heroes with added

Speaker:

survivability, damage and ability buffs.

Speaker:

The mode will feature 17 heroes and nine maps at launch with plans

Speaker:

for continual e evolution and additional addition of new heroes.

Speaker:

King Director Aaron Keller stated that stadium mode has been in development

Speaker:

since before Overwatch two's launch.

Speaker:

So why didn't you just add it into Overwatch?

Speaker:

One, it was, there was a content drought and you just hold that back

Speaker:

until suspiciously, until we see that Marvel rivals is doing well.

Speaker:

Weird.

Speaker:

So weird.

Speaker:

Stadium mode is designed to cater to players' desire for more downtime

Speaker:

strategy, emphasis on power fantasy.

Speaker:

The mode eliminates hero swapping encourages players to build around

Speaker:

their challenges, which I would actually play in instead because.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

I picked this hero.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

I gotta figure out how to make him better.

Speaker:

And so to help out the team, it's five.

Speaker:

E five.

Speaker:

I'm probably gonna have an issue with it 'cause I don't consider

Speaker:

five E five a really good mode and probably should have never happened.

Speaker:

'cause to be honest with you, two tanks is the best as always.

Speaker:

I'm sorry.

Speaker:

Just is one tank is just awful.

Speaker:

I don't play tanks.

Speaker:

I used to play tanks in Overwatch.

Speaker:

One because it was fun.

Speaker:

Have another tank to peel for me.

Speaker:

Still got blame, but not as badly.

Speaker:

And just the tank synergy was just, there was nothing like it, but Overwatch two yo.

Speaker:

And it's not that good.

Speaker:

Sorry guys.

Speaker:

Oh, you're, I just love just the gaslighting of the player base.

Speaker:

Oh, you just six V six 'cause nostalgia no, we like six V six.

Speaker:

It worked.

Speaker:

And it proves our point.

Speaker:

Alright, so I have some unfortunate news for June.

Speaker:

Awakening has been delayed to June 10th, 2025.

Speaker:

Players who purchased the deluxe or ultimate edition will have

Speaker:

early access starting June 5th.

Speaker:

The delay is due to feedback from ongoing persistent clo enclosed beta,

Speaker:

allowing the development team more time to implement changes, fund comp plans

Speaker:

to host a large scale beta weekend next month for players, for more players

Speaker:

to participate and provide feedback.

Speaker:

A combat livestream is scheduled.

Speaker:

Oh, actually it was scheduled and so if you wanted to check it out.

Speaker:

I'm fine with this, to be honest with you.

Speaker:

If they make a decision, look at.

Speaker:

Our game is a good, is pretty good state, but there's some issues

Speaker:

with it and we need more time.

Speaker:

I'm fine with that.

Speaker:

'cause that just allows them more time to make the game better.

Speaker:

And so if they make the game better and people like it,

Speaker:

it'll be a successful game.

Speaker:

If they did, what if they pull an EA with Battlefield 2042, oh it's

Speaker:

in a great state, it's awesome.

Speaker:

And then they launch it and everybody's what?

Speaker:

This is not good.

Speaker:

And that's where you have the problems.

Speaker:

Alright, moving on to King of Come Deliverance two has

Speaker:

received a patch of 1.2 0.4.

Speaker:

Update.

Speaker:

Update introduces a new hardcore mode for players.

Speaker:

So Kingdom deliverance, the very more real, the more realistic non-fan.

Speaker:

Medieval RBG is gonna get more realistic.

Speaker:

Hard mode includes.

Speaker:

The removal of fast travel so you can no longer fast travel could be interesting

Speaker:

and requires players to select a negative perk before starting the game.

Speaker:

Oh, brutal.

Speaker:

Negative perks includes sweaty.

Speaker:

Henry smells worse when he doesn't shower.

Speaker:

Might want to take that one.

Speaker:

Bashful.

Speaker:

Henry cannot ask villagers for directions.

Speaker:

And then Psalm nolu.

Speaker:

Henry can wake up in a different location after resting.

Speaker:

That would be funny.

Speaker:

Just fall asleep in your house and you're in a different town.

Speaker:

I'd be scared if go to sleep.

Speaker:

I'd be like, I don't wanna go to sleep.

Speaker:

No, not gonna, okay.

Speaker:

I have to go to sleep because even the regular mode, it's very realistic.

Speaker:

If you don't go to sleep you actually start to fall asleep.

Speaker:

I played the original one.

Speaker:

If you don't sleep, the game will make you sleep.

Speaker:

Alright, patch 1.4 0.2

Speaker:

also provides various fixes and re rebalances for standard gameplay

Speaker:

such as rebalance prices of herbs, a new hairstyle option for Henry

Speaker:

and fix for safe out issues.

Speaker:

Specifically for Xbox players, you want more power to them.

Speaker:

I'm a little, I was a little cri, rightfully cRI critiquing the gay love

Speaker:

scene between the two main characters, which previously in the original

Speaker:

game had no indication of that.

Speaker:

So weird.

Speaker:

And then the introduced introduction of a random black dude.

Speaker:

So will I pick it up?

Speaker:

Probably eventually when?

Speaker:

When it's on sale.

Speaker:

But right now I'm good.

Speaker:

All right, so once you finally unveiled more information on Marathon, so

Speaker:

this game is an extraction shooter because we don't have any of those.

Speaker:

I, there's a dearth of extraction shooters.

Speaker:

We'll be released on September 23rd for pc PlayStation five and Xbox Series X

Speaker:

Marathon will support cross play and cross save on all platforms at launch.

Speaker:

No, here's the funny part.

Speaker:

Bungee confirmed that marathon will be a premium title, but not be full price.

Speaker:

I don't even know what that means.

Speaker:

That's a marketing speak for what?

Speaker:

We don't know what we're gonna charge right now.

Speaker:

That's really what it means.

Speaker:

'cause they don't know what they're gonna charge.

Speaker:

They're trying to figure it out.

Speaker:

They're like, should we do $40?

Speaker:

Should we do the regular one and $70?

Speaker:

Should we do a hundred dollars?

Speaker:

Because you know that's gonna eventually be coming.

Speaker:

Looking at you.

Speaker:

Grand Theft Auto six.

Speaker:

Which if it is a hundred dollars, I'm not playing.

Speaker:

Plus, I'm not really quite keen on what they're gonna be doing.

Speaker:

And to be honest with you, I've grand up auto games that I never finish.

Speaker:

I like start and I'm like, yeah, this is great.

Speaker:

And I'm like, I don't wanna play this anymore.

Speaker:

I don't know why.

Speaker:

Anyways, the game will feature three maps at launch.

Speaker:

Ooh.

Speaker:

With a fourth map coming shortly after a marathon, we'll

Speaker:

include a battle pass system.

Speaker:

'cause man, we are thinking as gamers, we need more battle pass

Speaker:

systems because those are so fun.

Speaker:

The specific price of the game will not be announced, will be

Speaker:

announced later in the summer.

Speaker:

Here's all this stuff we don't want, we don't want you to know the price

Speaker:

'cause we know it'll be a shocker.

Speaker:

Players can loot items from the game world and other players, but

Speaker:

dying without extracting results and the loss of all your loot.

Speaker:

And basically the what correction shooters are players can be revived

Speaker:

during the match if a teammate is alive to interact with their death Stash.

Speaker:

Bungees is hosting Close Alpha for this game this month, which

Speaker:

requires joining the game official Discord server to sign up.

Speaker:

Don't care.

Speaker:

There may be public testing available before the game's official release.

Speaker:

Here's a problem, the internet is not really in favor of this.

Speaker:

They really have harken it back to Concord, which is funny because

Speaker:

the con, the one of the developers of Concord's look at guys.

Speaker:

I know our game sucked.

Speaker:

Can you please stop talking about it?

Speaker:

And this game's gonna be cool?

Speaker:

And everybody's no.

Speaker:

So

Speaker:

I don't know.

Speaker:

I looked at some of the screenshots and stuff and looked

Speaker:

at some of the videos and.

Speaker:

It's all right.

Speaker:

First of all the original marathon games from Bungee was created for Mac on Mac.

Speaker:

It was one of the few games on Mac and it was a single player game because

Speaker:

multiplayer was not big in the nineties because there really was no internet

Speaker:

didn't really come to the masses until 96.

Speaker:

And even then, good luck trying to play with the, like the beginning of

Speaker:

my intro is actually the awful internet thing, but I thought it'd be fun

Speaker:

to actually do something like that.

Speaker:

Anyways,

Speaker:

bungee is not what Bungee was and I think a lot of games are starting to

Speaker:

wake up to just because the developer has made great games in the past, if those

Speaker:

people leave the games are not gonna be as good as we remembered from the past.

Speaker:

Bungee made great Halo games, destiny, alright, destiny two even worse.

Speaker:

And the quality has been going down.

Speaker:

Because unfortunately bungee shifted from making great games like a lot

Speaker:

of developers have done and shifted towards gender ideology, politics,

Speaker:

mostly leftism and thinking that will help shore up game sales.

Speaker:

It doesn't.

Speaker:

It pisses us off most of the time, and you really should just stop, make great gains.

Speaker:

It's all you gotta do.

Speaker:

If you have politics against whatever everybody wants, great,

Speaker:

don't share it on your business.

Speaker:

You have people that are gonna be people that are from the left,

Speaker:

from the right and in the center.

Speaker:

They're all gonna work for you.

Speaker:

Leave your politics out of it.

Speaker:

Just make games.

Speaker:

You're there to do business and that means doing business with

Speaker:

people you don't agree with.

Speaker:

Unless you're in the opinion market then it's different, but.

Speaker:

This is just bad.

Speaker:

I really don't wanna see bungee fail, but to be honest with you, they probably

Speaker:

are unless they get their act together.

Speaker:

Alright, so I,

Speaker:

here's the problem.

Speaker:

They announced today about Medicare cuts from the United States, which is

Speaker:

always happening, and one of the major things about it is they're proposing

Speaker:

that the reason why it's expensive is because of single men that quote

Speaker:

unquote play video games all day.

Speaker:

Now, I don't condone playing video games all day.

Speaker:

I think that's actually not good for you.

Speaker:

I think that's very detrimental to you.

Speaker:

Unless you're streaming and that's how you make it income, then I'm okay with that.

Speaker:

But I still think I. You need to go out and touch grass.

Speaker:

But

Speaker:

the epidemic of men not wanting to work is not because of video games.

Speaker:

Video games are not the symptom of the overall larger

Speaker:

issue of society hating men.

Speaker:

Society does not like men.

Speaker:

Society hates masculinity.

Speaker:

Even though masculinity is good, feminism has decided that society

Speaker:

needs to hate masculinity.

Speaker:

The problem is women biologically need masculinity.

Speaker:

So the conundrum comes to let's blame men for all the issues of

Speaker:

society, which is not working anymore.

Speaker:

'cause men are like, you know what?

Speaker:

I'm done, I'm checking out.

Speaker:

Second of all, the reason why men like video games is because one competition.

Speaker:

'cause we are very competitive animals.

Speaker:

Two hero fantasy.

Speaker:

'cause society told us that we don't want the dams of distress, we don't want the

Speaker:

knight and shining armor that's done, that's over with equality, rah, until

Speaker:

I decide that I want chivalry again.

Speaker:

And so what men did is like, all right, fine.

Speaker:

I will go and play video games because at least that allows me to do that

Speaker:

until they decide to stop doing that.

Speaker:

And now we're all screwed.

Speaker:

Or we just become drug dealers in schedule one.

Speaker:

So the issue is thatcI society has not.

Speaker:

Looked at men's problems and said, maybe we should look at this and fix this.

Speaker:

They have decided instead to blame them.

Speaker:

You cannot blame young men who don't understand how to be men if

Speaker:

they're never instilled how to work.

Speaker:

Why are you blaming them that they don't work?

Speaker:

This isn't a cut and dry issue.

Speaker:

Video games are not the problem.

Speaker:

Society is the problem.

Speaker:

You have to look at society and go, look at, we have chase men out of

Speaker:

Boy Scouts because Boy Scouts are not for men anymore, or boys or whatever.

Speaker:

We have chased them out of the church, especially Protestantism,

Speaker:

because I don't know why

Speaker:

we have.

Speaker:

Chase them out of every single thing, and we've told women to be masculine.

Speaker:

There is an unequal equation here.

Speaker:

When you do this, men become more effeminate because

Speaker:

there needs to equal out.

Speaker:

Will it be a good outcome?

Speaker:

No.

Speaker:

It will be a terrible outcome, and we are seeing it right now in real time.

Speaker:

And guess what?

Speaker:

Schools are made for women, not men, not boys.

Speaker:

This is why women do better.

Speaker:

This is why women are going to college more often.

Speaker:

You do not make strong men by telling them to stop being masculine.

Speaker:

You make weak, effeminate men by telling 'em to stop being masculine

Speaker:

by not showing masculine things, by having TV shows that either have

Speaker:

idiots, terrible fathers, or UofS Oof.

Speaker:

Just terrible role models.

Speaker:

We have no role models to look at to show us how to be men.

Speaker:

The church used to do it and basically said, now we're good.

Speaker:

So men don't go to church anymore.

Speaker:

There are ways to figure out how to do it without blaming us all the time.

Speaker:

You keep doing this, we check out and we are checked out and you are feeling it.

Speaker:

Men drive society, men protect society.

Speaker:

You lose us, you lose society.

Speaker:

Women build up societies by having babies and we're not even doing that either.

Speaker:

So there is a systematic wide issue with society and instead of going look at, we

Speaker:

know men aren't really wanting to work.

Speaker:

And playing video games is their escape from the sh.

Speaker:

I try not to curse from the crap we're doing to them,

Speaker:

but we're going to blame them instead because that has worked.

Speaker:

That has not worked.

Speaker:

I remember one time in, when I graduated from college in 2011, I met with a

Speaker:

college administrator and he even said in 2011, look it we're having

Speaker:

issues with guys going to college.

Speaker:

And I told him it's because you aren't catering to them

Speaker:

and they still don't get it.

Speaker:

If you want customers, you have to cater to customers' needs.

Speaker:

If you don't, they don't buy your stuff.

Speaker:

I don't understand why marketing is so difficult when it comes to men.

Speaker:

It's like all of a sudden it's I don't know how to, how do we do it?

Speaker:

Even in gaming now, it's oh, we have majority gamers that are customers.

Speaker:

Let's not cater to them.

Speaker:

I'm like, what are you doing?

Speaker:

That's not how you get people to buy your game.

Speaker:

Yes, majority of gaming is men get used to it.

Speaker:

Men like things get used to it.

Speaker:

Feminism is probably the single most dangerous, modern, I'm gonna call

Speaker:

it a theology 'cause it's really a cult I've ever seen in modern times.

Speaker:

It's right up there with communism.

Speaker:

'cause they're really insidious and they seem like a good idea until

Speaker:

they're implemented from the sixties.

Speaker:

So we've had several decades of this and it, it's gotten worse.

Speaker:

It hasn't gotten better.

Speaker:

It's like the Department of Education we're last and we spend the most

Speaker:

money on kids for education.

Speaker:

There'll be something wrong there.

Speaker:

But no, the government instead goes video game's, bad guys get to work.

Speaker:

I'm like, that's not, it's not gonna work anymore.

Speaker:

You have an internet culture, right or wrong, and largely right, you can call

Speaker:

the red pill or whatever, but they're largely right about what's going on.

Speaker:

You can hate what they're saying, I don't really care.

Speaker:

But they're largely right and if you aren't paying attention to what

Speaker:

they're saying, you are missing the point and you're not connecting to men.

Speaker:

Telling them to get to work is not gonna work anymore.

Speaker:

You have to fix the issues.

Speaker:

It's like blaming the gun for killing somebody.

Speaker:

It's not the gun.

Speaker:

The gun didn't do anything.

Speaker:

It was the person behind the gun.

Speaker:

The gun doesn't randomly shoot.

Speaker:

They have guns in the house.

Speaker:

They don't randomly fire off every once in a while

Speaker:

because the gun doesn't shoot itself.

Speaker:

The game won't, the game's only be being played 'cause men are

Speaker:

frustrated and tired of society.

Speaker:

I'm sick of seeing this, like we have adults in politicians

Speaker:

that still aren't grown up.

Speaker:

I just blame guys for their video games.

Speaker:

It's no, the video games are basically just the end point

Speaker:

of what has been going on.

Speaker:

You can't tell men they're terrible.

Speaker:

You can't tell us that we shouldn't speak up or we shouldn't speak

Speaker:

up 'cause it's man's playing.

Speaker:

You can't say that silence is violence and then tell us why aren't you doing

Speaker:

anything and expect us to do something.

Speaker:

We're like, yeah, no, I'm good.

Speaker:

I'm gonna go in the woods.

Speaker:

My Xbox, I'm just play games.

Speaker:

'cause I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.

Speaker:

It's just it.

Speaker:

It's stupid.

Speaker:

All right, moving on to even better things.

Speaker:

Why you never listen to China?

Speaker:

So China has this new fangled cable called the GPMI.

Speaker:

So original, it's A-G-P-M-I type C. Its bandwidth is 96 gigabytes per second.

Speaker:

Power delivery is 240 watts and there's the type B two, which is 192 gigabytes per

Speaker:

second, and a power delivery of 480 watts.

Speaker:

The out forms HTM I 2.2 bandwidth and the Bolt five

Speaker:

bandwidth, the out forms as well.

Speaker:

The key features is a two-way multistream data transfer, bidirectional

Speaker:

control, unified connection for power delivery and data transmission.

Speaker:

USB, ecosystem compatibility, fast wake up, and ultra fast transition, enhanced

Speaker:

security that's coming from China.

Speaker:

That's pretty funny.

Speaker:

So

Speaker:

here's the thing, we've seen this before.

Speaker:

China makes a claim that says that they have this amazing technology

Speaker:

that beats the west, all those dirty West people, and then real life hits

Speaker:

it and it's yeah, it's not that good.

Speaker:

It's happened time and time again.

Speaker:

Yet reporters still try to go look at what China's doing.

Speaker:

I'm like, yeah, they're lying to you.

Speaker:

'cause that's what they do and they reverse engineer everything 'cause

Speaker:

they don't make or innovate anything.

Speaker:

When's the last time you may have had a actual true innovation in China?

Speaker:

Hasn't happened 'cause it never happens.

Speaker:

This is why I'm very skeptical about everything coming out.

Speaker:

Look at this.

Speaker:

It says it's great.

Speaker:

It says it's wonderful.

Speaker:

No it is not.

Speaker:

It's happened with their AI model that said that they were very efficient and

Speaker:

they only used millions of dollars.

Speaker:

And in reality, they bought a bunch of Nvidia GPUs and spent billions of dollars

Speaker:

trying to get this efficiency model, which basically made them not very efficient

Speaker:

and close to what chat GPT is doing.

Speaker:

They will continue to do it because we are guled enough to think that

Speaker:

China actually innovates anything.

Speaker:

You talk to anybody that works or has business with China, they

Speaker:

will tell you they will steal your stuff that you not care.

Speaker:

And I'm trying to wake you guys up to this stop believing

Speaker:

everything comes outta China.

Speaker:

They rarely work out.

Speaker:

It's usually worse or it's usually stolen.

Speaker:

Those are the two outcomes of this.

Speaker:

This is probably gonna be about half of what it actually is, or

Speaker:

it's gonna be very unreliable vol.

Speaker:

I will wait for HDMI or display port to come out with their innovations.

Speaker:

'cause there actually are innovations in that, and this has already been

Speaker:

touted as USBC to actually start to do.

Speaker:

Data signals plus power stuff.

Speaker:

It's already been in the works for a while.

Speaker:

This is just like China going, we did it and it's yeah, let's just wait for

Speaker:

the actual people that you do innovate.

Speaker:

Wait for them to actually make their announcements, but more

Speaker:

power to China do really great PR stunt that seems to think it works.

Speaker:

Which now comes about with the tariffs again, because I have to

Speaker:

keep on talking about the tariffs 'cause things change all the time.

Speaker:

So

Speaker:

here's the thing, yes, there was a temporary halt on tariffs

Speaker:

for a lot of tech products.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

This is a temporary pause, meaning there will be tariffs on this.

Speaker:

This is why I've said time and time again if you guys are looking

Speaker:

to upgrade anything, and if you can find it, 'cause I know A GPU

Speaker:

is really hard to find right now.

Speaker:

Buy it now because I'm telling you this is going to get worse before it gets better.

Speaker:

Because China is trying to face.

Speaker:

So Trump already enacted a 245% tariff on some products.

Speaker:

Do I see it going up?

Speaker:

More than likely, unless China starts to make a deal and take it seriously.

Speaker:

Right now, they're not.

Speaker:

They're hoping that he will balk and they're hoping that they can get back

Speaker:

to what normally they get from us.

Speaker:

The issue is all the smart people, all the people that have done work

Speaker:

in China and have done business with China, know what they do.

Speaker:

It's not a carefully guarded secret.

Speaker:

They steal our tech, they manipulate their currency

Speaker:

and they flood our markets with cheap China crap.

Speaker:

That's what they do.

Speaker:

And so this is why I'm telling you now, if you can wait a few years, wait a few

Speaker:

years, if you can't buy it now, because it's going to hurt in the long run.

Speaker:

I agree with the administration saying that we need to start building our

Speaker:

critical infrastructures in this country.

Speaker:

That means tech, it means pharmaceuticals, it means our weapons.

Speaker:

It means everything that's critical to us that we need to procure.

Speaker:

Because if we look at COVID-19 and the quote unquote pandemic,

Speaker:

that really wasn't a pandemic.

Speaker:

China with halted a lot of stuff from US masks.

Speaker:

Pharmaceuticals like, 'cause they could, that's not a good thing.

Speaker:

And tech especially needs to be built here because they will

Speaker:

steal it and we don't need them building our phones, building our

Speaker:

communication systems, building any tech that they could find a way to put a

Speaker:

malware on there doesn't need to happen.

Speaker:

It needs to be built here.

Speaker:

Includes keyboards and mice.

Speaker:

Even though those are low level things.

Speaker:

Still one of the things that need to be built here.

Speaker:

'cause you have no idea what they can embedded into that.

Speaker:

It's a lot of, it's reliant on tech.

Speaker:

Our cars need to be built here.

Speaker:

Tech inside the cars need to be built here.

Speaker:

It is one of those fundamental things that you cannot give a

Speaker:

country that has profit off of us.

Speaker:

Look at they were only number, they're only number two because of us.

Speaker:

They're number two.

Speaker:

Because first of all, Nixon opened up, traded China.

Speaker:

Clinton decided to bring China to into the World Trade Organization.

Speaker:

By the way,

Speaker:

he was not a great president on economy.

Speaker:

He literally did not know anything about economy.

Speaker:

You don't send off your manufacturing.

Speaker:

That's how you kill a country, and we're seeing the effects of it.

Speaker:

So what do we do?

Speaker:

I know there's that China, me going around about fat, white people

Speaker:

making clothes and stuff, but I mean that, that's not the reality of it.

Speaker:

That's them propaganda.

Speaker:

Again, what will more than likely happen?

Speaker:

That robots will be making the majority of our stuff.

Speaker:

They'll have few people monitoring the robots, but robots or machines

Speaker:

will be making the majority of stuff.

Speaker:

The machines make the majority of our stuff anyways, like repetitive tasks are

Speaker:

really suited for machines, not humans.

Speaker:

So this is where we're at right now.

Speaker:

There are going to be tariffs on tech stuff.

Speaker:

You cannot go around that whatsoever.

Speaker:

So I want to be very clear.

Speaker:

I. Tariffs are coming, unless China makes a deal.

Speaker:

I don't see China.

Speaker:

I know Trump said that they're talking to China, whatever that means, or they want

Speaker:

to strike a deal or whatever that means.

Speaker:

And they'll probably do it behind closed doors.

Speaker:

'cause again, they have to save face.

Speaker:

They're not gonna do it in the open.

Speaker:

They're not gonna try to do any of that.

Speaker:

They're gonna do it behind closed doors.

Speaker:

But for now, we have no idea.

Speaker:

'cause we're not in those meetings and they're not giving us the

Speaker:

reason for those meetings.

Speaker:

Because.

Speaker:

Security reasons and they wanna make sure that all countries

Speaker:

are respected in that sense.

Speaker:

So what do we do now is

Speaker:

really batten down the hatches.

Speaker:

There's not much else you can do.

Speaker:

I guess you could file lawsuits against it, but ordinary American Americans

Speaker:

or gamers may not much you can do.

Speaker:

Just buy it now and wait is probably the best option you can, but right

Speaker:

now, very real, that tariffs could go pretty high, which will inflate

Speaker:

the price of a lot of things.

Speaker:

Nvidia and Amm D already said that there are going to.

Speaker:

Toss the eat from this very real, it's going to hurt.

Speaker:

NVIDIA's probably gonna be moving a lot of their production into Arizona.

Speaker:

It's the ad doing that.

Speaker:

It's just a very practical thing to do.

Speaker:

Very smart thing to do.

Speaker:

It.

Speaker:

Add costs in the short term.

Speaker:

Yeah, in the long run.

Speaker:

Eventually when things, processes get in place, it gets a lot more efficient.

Speaker:

Might start to come down.

Speaker:

We're gonna see a rise again.

Speaker:

What we all want to hear.

Speaker:

No.

Speaker:

Is it?

Speaker:

What we need to do.

Speaker:

Yeah,

Speaker:

there's no around it.
