Welcome to a new episode of Digital Coffee Gaming Brew, and I'm your host, Brett Deman. This is the first episode of 2025, so we're gonna be talking about a MD just announced their new 99 50 x 3D. The VASH one, the one's supposed to be really good. They announced it. We're talking about that Marvel rivals has season one updates and. You're gonna be able to play your favorite games on select LG Smart TVs. Yes. Even PC gaming is going TV way, and my hope for 2025 is gonna be a little bit of shorter one, but it's gonna be a good one. So let's get on with the show. Hmm. That's good. As always, please subscribe to this podcast on all your favorite podcast cast. But anyways, Marvel rival has just announced season one that's coming in just four days, and it's gonna have fantastic four, all four of them. They're not gonna release one at a time, or they might during the season, but they're gonna release all four of them. That is the thing. That is Johnny Storm. That is Mr. Fantastic. That's an invisible woman. So we're gonna have all that coming for you. For us, we're gonna stop Mobius from doing his terrible dastardly things in the newest one. But you've got four days for season one to come out. 'cause we're at Season zero right now. It should be interesting to see what's gonna happen. And to be honest with you, I think Marvel rivals is probably gonna be one of the best games of 2025, and that also includes Delta Force in there as well. I also think. Kingdom come Deliverance two is going to be a great game for 2025. We've got two points. The museum game, they've done a bunch of different ones, so Two Points Museum. They did Two Points University and Two Points Hospital, and they're just continuing with that. We have Monster wa, monster Hunter Wilds as well. It's gonna come out. It's gonna be really good. I'm a little shaky on civilization, the newest one. Not too sure about that one. We got Final Fantasy seven Rebirth for the pc, which will be fun to play with, but that's really about it right now and those are coming in January and February, so look out for those. Like I said, I'm still iffy on civilization, but I am very confident about Kingdom Come Deliverance two. And Two Points Museum as well. It should be a fun little thing. The other ones I'm looking forward to is going to be doomed Dark ages and that's really about it right now. Yeah it's slim picking for 2025 so far, but we also have arm of re forger having a huge resurgent as well. So we should be interesting. But back to my thing, I think what Net Ease is doing in Marvel rivals is genius. They're really taking away a lot of momentum from Overwatch over here to Marvel rivals and rightfully soak. They've done a lot of things really well. But we'll see how well this continues and how well this will actually maintain as well. We still have Delta Force as well, and they're supposed to be coming out with a single player this year. Not really sure when. That should be an interesting thing to check out as well. Alright, moving on to CES and a MD just revealed their new processor, but they have not revealed. Any of their graphics cards, of course. So they just revealed the 99 50 X 3D, and this is supposed to be the best for gaming and the best for content creation. It has a max boost frequency of 5.7 hertz has 16 Zen five CPU course and 144 megabytes of total cash with second gen. A MDV cash technology. Basically what it's saying is that it's supposed to be better than the 79 50 x 3D, and it's supposed to be better than the Intel one as well. It's supposed to have, basically, they said it's supposed to be a 20% boost over the 79 50 x, and it's supposed to be about a 10% boost from the A MD chip to two 80 5K also. For content creation, it's supposed to have a huge boost in about I would say about, probably around 10%. They seem to be like 10% is the, is like the marker for them. It's 10% this, 10% that, but it's supposed to be a really good. Indicator of the best of both worlds. Now, until we actually get this in the hands of reviewers, we really don't know. And you always have to be careful about what the company says about their own stuff, because let's be honest with you, I. It's not always going to be exactly that. It could be, but a lot of times it's probably more like a 5% boost and in, in certain cases it could be even lower or it could actually be higher to a 15, 20% boost. We will actually have to see. But if you have the latest. Other boards, you can just get the CPU and not worry about getting another motherboard if you wanna spend the money for it, because I'm pretty sure it's gonna be around 500, maybe more dollars for the CPU itself. 'cause this is the top end of the rise in process you can get. Now they did have more to talk about, but I was not interested at all 'cause it had nothing to do with it. It was just basically their AI. CPUs that really don't really matter too much. They did ha talk a little bit about the future of FSR and fss, FSR four and machine learning and all the other fun stuff, but they didn't really have much. It was just a very big promotional thing about how Microsoft was so excited to be working with him and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And it's okay. Yeah, the. It was worthless. If you're gonna do it, just show us something. But just don't have somebody from the company that's obviously gonna talk how great it is about it. 'cause they're not gonna bash you. And I'm pretty sure they'll be over to Nvidia when they have their announcements as well. But right now the 99 50 X 3D is supposed to be available Q1 of 2025, so relatively soon. I'm not really sure exactly when because they haven't given us an exact date, but they do have a timeframe of about three to four months, give or take. So be on the lookout for it if you're looking for a new chip, and that hopefully this round of 9,000 series rising is better than when it first launched, because it did not do very well when it launched at all. It was pretty bad. For you, lovers that love pc, but also want a really big tv, you can actually, if you have the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can play Black Ops Six and others on your tv. Yes, you read that, right? You can actually play it on your tv. How well it will run on your tv? It depends on your tv, but you can actually play it, meaning you don't need a console, meaning you don't need a pc. You have it all on your tv, which probably more is the future of casual console and PC games than anything else. But there is a fee of. I think it's now $20 a month, if I'm not mistaken, for the ultimate. The ultimate is the only way you can play the cloud stuff. It's the only way you can play this. So if you wanna play a vowel, which I don't recommend, or any of those other games, Starfield, if you really want to hate yourself, then you can actually play 'em. But to be honest, worth that much. I. Yes, Xbox purchased Microsoft, Activision Blizzard, which basically means they got Call of Duty and all the Blizzard stuff because Activision doesn't make anything but Call of Duty now. So you have Overwatch two, which no one really very few people play, or not as many people played and are over on Marvel rivals. You have World of Warcraft, you have Diablo four, you have all the other. Remastered Classics like Dibble two remastered. I wish they would do Dibble one remaster. That would actually be fun. You also have dibble three. You have. Warcraft one and two remastered. You have Warcraft, reforged Warcraft, three Reforge as well. So you have a lot of the remastered stuff. You also have StarCraft one and two. StarCraft one was remastered and a few years ago. So you have a lot of Remasters and not very many new games for Blizzard right now. And you also have World of Warcraft, which I don't know if it's part of that yet, but you do have that. You also have. See if Thieves, which is actually a pretty good game. You could play Indiana Jones if you really want to. You have the flight simulator 2024, which has been off to a rough start, but you have options if you wanna purchase that. It is pricey, so you do not have the budget. I recommend you don't do it. Alright, since this is the first episode 2025, I wanna look for be helpful. Like what? I'm hopeful for 2025, I'm hopeful for better games that are written better than what's we've gotten from the cream of a clo crop. I'm talking 'cause and this has been written a lot, this year will be the make or break of a lot of aa. Publishers and titles because people have been not as willing to play the AAA titles, especially last year. I think Steam said it was about like 15%. You, he wasn't even above 20% of I. Players played new AAA games, which is a problem for publishers. 'cause if you're not buying the games, they're not getting any money. And this is why Assassin's Creed was postponed once again to this year, February 14th. If you wanna play that game, I certainly will wait until the bargain bin. But if you are for that, then by all means have at it. But. What I'm hopeful for is that developers have finally gotten it hell, divers two COO. The creative director gets it and says that DEI is not a good thing. It doesn't make games fun. And I'm like, thank you. This is why they're successful. And this is why Concord failed after two weeks or 14 days or whatever, very short time, the very Shortlived game. And this is why, if you're not going to put. Fun, great design and great storytelling above whatever. Whatever political philosophy you have right now, it's not going to work. The reason why I enjoy playing income deliverance, 'cause it was a fun game that was historical and was true and they didn't try to shoehorn. The politically correct things to it because that's the cool thing to do, which really isn't 'cause gamers just have said resoundingly, no, not to do it. So I'm really hopeful that dev publishers and developers have learned from stalker two, have learned from Kingdom Come Deliverance two, which is coming out next month. Has learned from Marvel rivals has learned from Delta Force. All these games have done really well. Why? Because they prioritized fun gameplay loops and fun design over political ideologies. If you do that, you'll win. Gamers like it when you make fun games for them and you're not bashing them over the head how terrible they are as a white male or anything else, or that you're straight or whatever. We will support you. But if you continue to do this path of, I'm gonna lecture you because you're a terrible person because of the race or gender you were born, then we're gonna have a problem. It doesn't matter. It shouldn't matter, but apparently it has to matter to them. 'cause they may need to make themselves feel better, but it makes no sense because, again, and I've always said this and I'll say this time and time again, your target audience is males. Majority of it is going to be males. So cater to the male audience and you will do well. This is why I'm excited for Doom, the Dark Ages because it still caters to that male audience and that masculinity. If you wanna call it toxic, then that's your choice. You're still stupid, but it caters to that. It's why a lot of these old games. We like so much and we'll go back to playing the old games if the new ones don't do very well. I'm very skeptical of the Witcher four. I don't think it's gonna do as well. I think they totally mismanage it, and I'm actually more afraid of the Witcher original remake because they're trying to change things that don't really fit or we don't like it, so we're gonna change it. So you're gonna have to be happy about it. And it's I'm good. No, thank you. And that's what's gonna happen. Like you could see Grand theft auto tank because it decided that it needed to be politically correct than actually a fun game. Fun games make sales games that lecture us don't and will fail. I. Like just make a fun game. Stop lecturing me how terrible I am, 'cause I'm a white male. Stop lecturing other gamers saying how terrible they are. 'cause they're just male and they like women. You like beautiful women. That's not what we want. We don't want to be lecturing anymore. Stop lecturing us. I don't care. I don't care. If you're a weirdo, keep your weirdness to yourself. It doesn't matter to me. If you bring your awareness into the games, and I don't like it, I'm not gonna buy it, so don't call me a racist, sexist, or whatever because I'm still not gonna buy it. You calling me names, doesn't make me want to spend money. Which is funny because again, the gaming media got mad at one of the developers at. Kingdom Come Deliverance Two because he said, Hey look, our game is doing better than Dragon Age to Veil Guard, which their game came out in 2018 and Veil Guard came out recently and everybody's whoa, it's on sale. I'm like, doesn't matter if it's doing better than a new game. That's actually pretty bad. That's really bad. It came out three months ago, four months now, and it was doing better than I. A game that came out in 2018. That's bad. That's like super, the that's embarrassing for EA and for BioWare, who I don't really have a lot of hope on mass effect five being good. I, because unfortunately a lot of developers that made BioWare what it is, are gone. When they're gone, all that talent leaves and you're left with the people that aren't very talented. This is what's gonna happen for CD Project Red. A lot of those people that created witch are three are gone. So we're, we might be left with the lesser of it, including the lore guy that apparently wants to punch gamers. Just don't get me started on that, but. I'm hopeful that these hard lessons will eventually sink in. Plus, I'm actually hopeful that the AA games will actually be doing way better than what we're offering for aa. AA will just be aaa, but it'll try to peel to the masses. But the Double A Games is really where we're gonna see a lot more of the creative, fun games like Man Lords, which is still going through it. I would say hell divers two is more of a Double-A game than a triple-A game. But eventually it's gonna be triple-A game. We're gonna see more of the stalkers, we're gonna see more of the ENT shrouded, we're gonna see more of the path of exiles type of developers coming up and really just answering or being the pushback to. The AA developers and publishers not understanding how to talk to gamers 'cause of the modern audience. Yeah. Uhhuh modern audience. Yeah. The modern audience is the same, has been before for the past 30 years. It hasn't changed. You have changed into being weird, but it hasn't changed. That's my hope. My hope is that they're actually finally going to learn. Or a lot of them are gonna be in financial trouble. The gaming industry has done it has been not very good for a couple years, but a lot of industries have not been good for a couple years, mainly because of pol terrible policies and terrible spending, but also because of terrible ideas being pushed to the forefront. And then the mass audience is we reject this. We don't like this. Leave us alone. So my hope is that AAA developers finally get their act together and the AA developers get the limelight that they deserve because they do. Look at developer No Man's Sky. That game is still being updated. I. It was, people hated it when it first came out and people now love it because the developer's we're not done yet. We're gonna keep on pumping out content for you guys, and this will be a feature Rich, and it is a feature rich game, and they're still bringing out more. That's crazy, but we'll see. We'll see if they figure it out. I'm hopeful they will. I'm hopeful that they see those numbers from Stalker two, from Path of Exile two from. Marvel rivals from Delta Force from all those games that are either free to play or not as, doesn't have a big a budget, and they're trouncing all the other AAA studios. I'm looking forward to that. And thank you for listening to Digital Coffee Gaming Brew. I'm really excited for you guys and really excited for 2025. And please subscribe to this podcast and all your favorite podcasting apps.
